overcast
finally the sky's looking overcast, after having the past week of glorious sunshine. weather's starting to become just a bit warmer, spring's on its way.
daddy left for singapore yesterday afternoon. this morning i was just playing the piano with the entire house to myself. it felt so envigorating. Playlistit's during these piano playing times that i really feel the presence of God, not that i don't, but i just feel like He's more acutely there than ever, like He's standing right behind me singing along with me. i'm sure my fellow Christian piano players can relate to this. :D i found this really interesting blog this afternoon. :D cscoutjapan anyhow, i need to get back to my 漢字 and vocab making. :) P.S.: loving nishino kana's LOVE one. CD!

 my dad's taken to the movie 'taken' very much. using it very much to his advantage. playing the 'see what happens when you go off on your own' card a lot. it's just a movieee...anyhow, i cooked dinner tonight, and the dessert (castella~) turned out good this time. XD tonight's dinner was *miso saba (saba [mackeral] in miso)i chanced upon a lonesome tub of hikari miso paste in the fridge. as you can see my inspiration XD lotus root patties came out a little weird. i think i need to work on it, or rather try somthing else with lotus root. my castella cake turned out great! XD this time i just kept the electric whisk going the entire time, and the mixing bowl was pre-heated. happy~ V^^ yea! though i think castella's more of an indulgence. 8 eggs! and 300g of sugar. gotta watch the waistline... now to brainstorm on tmr's lunch. i'm starting to not like my tuesday afternoons. two hours all by myself. :(( |
