it simply is an encouragement to find a fellow christian in uni. thank God for letting me have such a wonderful time talking to So Young.

yesterday we just happen to chance upon each other at the library after japanese class and we decided to go grab lunch together and then i just told her i was going to bible study after this and then we got the ball rolling.

her church's the korean church in the same suburb as mine. she told me how she was in the korean christian community in uni but she felt as if majority of the ppl in the group in uni were superficial christians; just coming to the group to socialise and there wasn't much depth in the faith of the ppl there. and she was just an encouragement, so fervent and so passionate!

she told me how through her mom she got to know God and how her parents split due to religious differences, but she's optimistic nonetheless, praying that her dad would come to know the Lord.

thank you Lord for sending such an encouragement. :))))

and now for my lecture. -_-"

[yesterday]

after sleeping in on my 5.45am alarm, i was rudely jolted out of bed by my mom at 7.45am. missed my train by 15 minutes. damn, ahh well, guess i will make it only for the 12pm tute. which i did, after getting a lift to hurstville from my auntie.

it's a good thing i made it for that tute, since it was chock full of mid sem questions. time passes too fast when you want it to go slower. a few weeks ago, it was the beginning of semester 2, and now it's already coming to mid sems. time to start getting my brain off cruise control.

after that tute, met up with jaja jan zoe and simon and chilled for a bit before each one of them left at around 2pm for classes, then i was left to bum for an hour. the asb couches are soooo comfy! could have just dozed off there and then in that little corner of asb if it weren't for the constant human traffic wanting a place to bum/study/makeout. plus i was all rugged up (got myself a new beanie! got some positive feedback from muli and bosco :D), so easy to just curl up and sleep.

after that, jaja finished classes and came back to find me and then jan, and we left to head down to the city.

made zenan, bosco, colin and phillip run from myers in pitt st to maccas at townhall for me, and they still had to wait for me. XD hehehe, bosco you need new jeans. either that or invest in a belt.

after grabbing a bite at maccas, we decided to bum at norita's since if we were to watch a movie, it would run into the guy's bday party appointment and we wouldn't be able to catch up. so after leaving jaja and jan at gm (to shop), the guys and i grabbed a table at norita's.

played big 2 and i felt like such a noob when i played against those guys. they obviously got a lot of training at oatley. ahah! then we started on a game of bullshit. ahah! shifty colin. lawll. laughs at everything! jaja and jan joined in after they came back from shopping and walking around.

and omg, cute korean waiters working that night! LEEEE~~

bosco pointed out one of the hk idol 08(sorta like aussie idol/american idol. like singing comp) competitors who was seated two tables away from us. omg like fugly much. ahahah! bosco and i couldn't believe he was chosen. and he said he wasn't that good at singing too anyway.

then muli came by after work and we played mafia. i swear, we were the loudest table there that night. all the accusations flying around the table and the poker faces we had to pull to avoid getting attention on ourselves. as muli said, "this game was designed to break friendships." XD

anywayyy, WORK TIME. getting told off by my mom in the bg. =.= byebyee

note to self:

running up a slope to catch a train in tightass jeans (which is cut so weirdly, drainpipe skinny on the calves and loose on the thighs and hips area [aka my coin-slot jeans >< good thing i was wearing a long shirt]) and boots isn't a good look. esp when you're weighed down by a handbag with a labcoat and lab manuals and lunch.

i need to sleep after this, i need the rest. past two nights have been late ones, with preparing for my molecular cell bio lab and typing up my japanese speech that was due wed (yest). pandapanda making a comeback. ><

zee is being overzealous. XD sigh, when will he learn to just let things take their course, you can't rush things you know. ;)

THEY'RE MAKING THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE INTO A MOVIE? O.O

New Line Cinema will develop a film adaptation of The Time Traveler's Wife. The adaptation will be directed by Robert Schwentke and will star Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. Filming began in September 2007. [1] The film was originally due for release on June 6, 2008 but according to IMDB.com it has now been pushed back to December 25, 2008.

they better make it good. i hate it when movie adaptations don't do justice to the novel.

i had the best time on the ride from townhall to kogarah talking to zenan about rpg games. XD accompanied him to townhall after uni to get his pro evolution 5 game at eb, and zenan bought me icecream! ^^

now zenan's got me wanting to play ff10 and dark chronicles. TT this is gonna be such a distraction.

caught the bus down to central with jasonL today =) hope your sister's feeling better jase. (*on a sidenote: I KNOW TOO MANY JASONS. ><*) planning to see if i can organise a movie outing to watch The Strangers. looks good :) and possibly get some friends whom i haven't seen in a while. look out for an email! ^^

will start once i'm done with my work. and i gotta clean up my room. it's creeping back out.

i spotted a gabe saporta lookalike today. *fangirls* caught the train back home with jacqui jason and geoff today and i saw him. spanish cutie XDDD yasmin would have been all giggly. i can so imagine that. XD he was wearing a gray hoodie zipup + black skinnies + black lacoste sneakers. and just to soften the edge, he wore glasses, so it's sorta like a class geek-gabe saporta. XDDD he isn't heavy built, just thin, lean, reminds me of a greyhound. somehow.

yoshida sensei was ill so ohara sensei took over. nice guy. ^^ after class i hung out with jacqui on the library lawn, snoozing and reading.

zenan had a rotten apple in his bag. ><

genetics lab at 2-5; the change in temperature from a warm library lawn (which i stayed at for 2 hour-ish), to a cold stuffy lab makes you really drowsy. i was striving to keep awake in that lab, which didn't have a lot of physical lab work today, more so just brain power, trying to figure out what haplotypes and yadayadayada. dozed off quite a bit.

forgot jayy was gonna call me to catch the bus into central together; by the time he called, i was on the bus with jacqui. >< awww~ someone got rejected :P kekeke....

went to uni today for a photoshoot and i still managed to go for my japanese lecture. apparently they're gonna use my mugshot for promotional material in singapore for unsw. so look out for me XD nahnah, i'm not too sure myself too, but i'll tell you all if it does happen in any case.

then i hung around waiting. waiting. waiting. i wanted to get my textbooks but my money (aka DADDY) was still at work, but he said he'll swing by after work. so i waited.

* ...until jayy finally showed with lunch ^^ and jonathan. he wanted street fighter more than bball so us girls left for the gym

BUT with no guys in sight, we left for the roundhouse where we met jayy hard at a game of street fighter.

i managed to get my books and after grabbing lunch from maccas we left for home. my mom's a canto tvb drama series addict. i swear.

i'm just love the way vicki's reacting to the olympic boxing event on telly; so frenetic and agitated. ^^

hate it whenever it comes. i just get so lethargic and right now, i have a mild headache that's really irritating me.

on the other hand, vicki's brownies are so good.

remember "not to get too addicted to my computer and ds" (i refer you to my old entry on the 10 things i wanna do this semester)?

by some (heavenly?) intervention, my ds dstt microsd card has crashed (and burned) into itself so right now, i have only brain train nintendogs and puyopop. which i don't really like playing. so my ds is now no longer functioning! (till lester comes back from beijing with new microsd card and reader! XD)

had a prac where i had to manipulate drosophilia flies (fruit flies! the ones you see flying lazily around your fruit bowl once in a while) and get to know them and possibly breed characteristics about them. it was AWESOME~ XD i felt like a kid being sucked into the show of some leery-eyed magician's act. just looking at a bottle full of flies. phwoar. and like knocking them all out with CO2. see all of them drop. like flies. literally. then looking at them through the magnifier and seperating the females from the males, and putting testcrosses in.

good thing though, was the class change, they finally got their paperwork together and put me back in 449 where i originally was in. yay! pracs with matt! and i found out dyan's also doing the same prac! both in the same prac. :)) new friend in uni~

hung out with jacqui today in the student lounge. weather was soo erratic today, rain, shine, RAINNNN, shine. -_-" couldn't make up its mind. sean was nice enough to come by clancy with an umbrella for me and none for him. and he insisted on not sharing with me since he was afraid i'll pass him germs. . . i think that medical course of his is making him a hypochondriac.

bible study was great as usual, and david brought along his mom ^^ and i managed to get kaishin to come along too. :)

anyway, i need a shower. the hypochondriac's complaining he can feel it all the way in kenso. -_-"
