heys everyone. back from sch retreat =) got pics to upload but i gotta get the usb cord from aaron, so till then you'll just have to rely on my description of items to visualise. ahah!

first day was alright. fiona was a bore on the bus though ahah =P she gets carsick easily so she distracts herself by listening to music and not speaking. blah. and on the trip back calvin just slept through the whole thing. damn why do i get ppl who are so boring on road trips. the food served was alright too. though i must add that the first day's crumbed chicken dinner was crap. more like chicken fry; it was that dry and crispy. otherwise the food was good. first activity my group did was the flying fox. and the way that they did it was that you first were introduced to the ending platform and then you trekked in bushland to get to the top of the hill. there you are introduced to 'the ship'; the take-off platform of the flying fox. you actually walk the plank to get off the flying fox. got pics of it. hmm, then we had a session; talked bout dealing with adversity. yeps. then we went on the giant swing. THAT was amazing. basically you and a friend get harnessed and strapped up to this cable and the group on the ground pulls you up at an angle; just like a giant pendulum. then there's that blue string. it was just above head level between you and your friend and that's your only way down from 5 storeys above the ground. so you would have to pull that and first you plummet down and then you gain momentum and swing exactly 180 degrees to the other side and back, just like a swing. gawd i went up on that thing with shirley and i was screaming, laughing and crying at the same time. IT WAS AMAZING. THRILLING. F-ING EUPHORIA. =D!

second day we did the wilderness challenge and taichi. my teacher said i was a natural at taichi; hmm. and the wilderness challenge. team building mainly. yeps. then had a group session talking bout attitudes and how/what you think about it. then i think that was mainly it. had a movie session last night. movie was called in the name of the father. it was good. talked about the irish and the british race war. stuff like that. then today we had banner making. this banner represents all of us yr 12s in 2005. i'll talk more about it later. going to help my dad at the restaurant tomorrow. so i need sleep. finally i'm back at my own bed.

haven't been on much. let's see. i gotta link drea. FINALLY got a blog. ahah! oh wells, this first week has been great! yr 12 may be alright. but then again there's always the calm before the storm; so i'm just praying i'll last the ride. here i go.

this week, i basically got back my prelim year results. not good. i'm on average and above average for most of them. and i'm aiming for excellent. GAH. thank god the prelims don't count to this year's marks whatsoever. if it did, i'll die. =| no more first in bio. don't think i came first in SOR too. =) oh wells, reality check for me. it's good. makes me wanna work harder now. been actually doing the exercises for my maths lessons. i actually understand locus now. mwahah. i may just turn into the nerd that i was.

on a better note. one week of workshop at toyota next week, =) looking forward to that. school chose ten kids and out of them seven of us will be going to toyota office in woolaware and we will be taught certain problem solving skills on the first day and over the span of four days after, we have to solve a problem that toyota is currently facing using the skills that we were taught. four girls - tina wang, shirley ling, nichla smith and justina tan - three guys - matthew reed, adam dundovic and christopher J. mahoney. oh what fun we're gonna have, hoho. rumoured that we are facing off another sch's team of smartey-pants and competing to get toyota to accept our solution. hmm, that'll be fun.

week after, yr 12 retreats. vision valley in arcadia i think. integration and the yadayada. oh wells, i just hope that this'll turn out good. it better.

and after all that, i'll update afters. =)

Teens Camp `05
immediately after the cruise, cynthia and kevin came to pick me up from kings st wharf. went straight up to church at gladesville. had a real great time there, learning more about being in a spiritual coma and reviving yourself and seeing the evidence of it. other than the messages, we had games, mostly prep for all meals, and a good time getting to know each other better. =)

shouts to fee for bringing me to such a great night out! ahah! =D now i'm paying a very sore price for that; butt, thighs and lower back is like aching from all that dancing. =| ahaha, but it's alright compared to such a fun time i had with fiona, allison, gary, michelle and bryan. i got to meet allison's friends misato and trang, pretty girls i tell you. =)
i overslept friday morning and woke up at around 12-ish. vicky tamm granny and gogo woke me up after coming home from a trip to flemington markets for veg. started getting ready and dressed. arrived late at fiona's place; was supposed to be there at 5, ended getting there around 5.15pm. =| ahaha! soz fee, allison and gary, had to make you all wait for me =P then fee's dad drove us four to the wharf where we were walking up and down in the cold trying to figure out which wharf the boat was gonna be at. silly me forgot to bring a jacket or something to keep warm. fee and allison had to constantly hug me to keep me from turning purple! ahah! anyhoos, 6.15 came and allison's friends michelle and bryan hadn't arrived yet. they called to say they were lost and allison and me decided to run to sydney aquarium to go meet them. running actually made me warm! ahha! and running on planks isn't a good thing with heels. they get stuck in between the planks and it's not funny. met up with michelle and bryan and we ran back. this time i tried running on tip toes, worked a little. aha. =) after a bag check (my mt franklin water was taken away) and ticket check we got onto the boat and found a seat on the second level. first level dance floor; was so tiny! i nearly snagged this girl's dress with my bracelet! oh yes, shouts to joshie! your birthday present completed my outfit that night! =D yeps, spent quite a bit there on the dancefloor, but left when the music got crappy. shuttled in between the second level full of tables, first and third open deck. fee looked hot dancing, so did her brother (the only guy by far that was gutsy enough to actually dance without any inhibitions! and i actually mean it. =D). highlights of the night was bryan protesting that he didn't know and want to dance as he was being dragged onto the dancefloor and then getting three(!) girls all over him. front, back, right! ahah, after that guess who was the one who was alright dancing. aha! then there was that leb girl that stripped gary. o_O woo~ not only that, he managed to get some girl too. gary was popular alright. ahahah! at around 11 the boat docked back at the wharf and cynthia was already there to pick me up for teens camp. =) thanks to fee for introducing me to this social cruise and to gary, allison, michelle and bryan for being there. =)
