a young warrior is carried upon his shield and sword by three female figures, depicting the three important women in his life, his mother, his wife and his sister. in one of the woman's arms, a child is cradled, signifying the sacrifice this man has made for future generations.

a self portrait (of sorts) of Brett Whiteley. triptych, mixed media; photography, hair, hypodermic syringe, glass eye, pen and ink on cardboard, cigarette butts... pretty much is a biography in painting of brett whiteley's violatile lifestyle. brett whiteley battled an addiction to heroin and was a chain smoker. he eventually died on an OD of heroin.

anyway, on another note, the weekend that just passed, was pretty interesting. saturday night had dinner with my japanese classmates and friends, sunday night aaron and jack's sausage-fest dinner.

saturday night, we brought tomo and nami out for dinner and purikuras. =) photos up on my facebook!

sunday night, met up with the guys for dinner and guess what! i turned out to be the only girl there. -_-" nice one.

random qn: why the emphasis on height? i believe if someone has the attitude and charisma to carry themselves, height is not an issue. i personally don't mind any height, maybe it's cos i'm short myself, but that has never stopped me doing anything i liked, neither have i found any offense in people paying me out on my height. cos i'm all like, sure i'm short, so what?

random observation too: why can't australian kids learn to respect the flag? i seriously can't stand it when they throw the flag around their shoulders and 'drink to their country'. it's just a disgrace. why do they condone such acts?
