HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
new year new skin! well not yet, but it'll come soon, when i find the right one. heh.
spent new year's eve in much agony, was nursing a sore throat and a runny nose. still am but i'm slowly recuperating. but other than that, i was great =) new year's eve message was on the Race of Faith that Paul wrote in the Epistles. made me think so much on Dare To Run, i was singing and writing down the lyrics in my notebook the whole time. decided to go out for lunch since there wasn't any afternoon programs on and we ended up in subway in miranda for lunch. in the evening we went out looking for a good place to view the NYE fireworks and that didn't work out, (there was a 9pm and a 12 midnight firework display) so the 9pm one me and vicky managed to view it from the maccas's carpark (we had maccas for dinner! two fastfood outlets in a day! too much for meee). daddy was still sulking over the fact that he couldn't find a good place to view them (blame it on not preplanning). oh well, we then waited at uncle ben and auntie kat's place, they invited us to view the 12 midnight fireworks from their apartment rooftop, which was already good enough for me, eventhough we were blocked by a few other apartment blocks. we left at around 1am and went home to wait on calls from family and friends in singapore. i even managed to steal some time to save vicky's birthday bouquet of sunflowers and mummy's birthday bouquet of roses (all from me!) from dieing. TRICK: dissolve some sugar and a panadol into the water before displaying flowers in vase. also, cut flower stems at an angle so that there'll be more surface area for it to absorb water and nutrients in. i managed to stay up till bout 5am to watch the sun rise then i conked out and slept till 12 noon. tammy and vicky were still sleeping eventhough they had slept earlier than me! amazing. woke up and cooked the family a lunch of tomyum noodle soup with fishtofu, chikuwas and sotong balls. gogo and granny had just arrived back from auckland and i walked over at around 3pm to let them sample a bit of vicky's birthday cake, which i got from New York Pattiserie after work on sat the 30th. seriously, that place has the best cakes in syd. can be compared to Four Leaves of singapore. i got her the New Orleans Caramel Ooey Gooey Chocolate Mud Cake, sadly i couldn't take a bite due to that annoying sore throat. nvm, i've got mummy's cake to look forward to, this friday!

btw, anyone interested in heading to Strathfield with me? i wanna go down for a haircut.
