today's temperature is bout 20-25 degrees odd. that's good. =) yesterday was a scorcher! 45 degrees on average. spent the afternoon in the pool. me and vicky came out last and were fried like indians. today, we've got some ppl over for dinner. so far there's uncle benson and auntie linda and erinn and ebony and ethan, auntie peck hong and paul, uncle alvin and auntie jessica. we're still expecting more ppl. ahah! had to clean up my room so much. =| anyhoos, here's the ten commandments for a successful student as promised. =)
TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS
1) Purpose in your heart to glorify God
the first and foremost thing to do. in all things, to God be the glory
2) Pray always: before, during and after study
pray without ceasing
3) Be concise and precise. "Summarise your summary"
ahaha, hard stuff, but trust me, it works. gets to your head and you actually remember it!
4) Utilise the pre-dawn hour for maximum profit
now you know how Pastor manages to fit all those messages in. heh, i'm still working on this point.
5) Knowledge shared is knowledge assured
just make sure it doesn't turn into a big yakking fest.
6) Study always with an objective and attain it
this is actually quite basic, the challenge is to stick to it, for me that is.
7) "Know something of everything, and everything of something"
get it? ahha, it's true once you get it. knowing something of everything, and everything of somethings.
8) Redeem the time: make every minute count
true that. i have trouble with this.
9) Exercise daily to keep fit
wouldn't wanna fall sick in the middle of an exam. and i add a second thing to the law, eat right.
10) Keep God's day holy. Honour the Lord
honour the Lord and He'll honour you.
